I’m enjoying the beautiful smell from the photos. You make it all sound so simple! I’ll try the porridge bread one of these days.
Many years ago, we did a home exchange with a Dutch family and in their diary of holidaying at our house they referred to lunch as ‘bread time ‘.
Unfortunately, we never got to join them for this daily event. But I often think of the phrase when I see a menu of open sandwiches , panini, chiapatas, toasties, rolls etc etc.
