I’ve now reached the glorious stage of life – retirement and absolutely loving it.
When I look back on my life I realize the one thing that could summarize it was always being busy. School was followed by college, (Medical Microbiology at Trinity), and then straight to work in industry for six years, followed by lecturing for two years. I married, moved to Limerick, had three children, founded a training business. I worked other than the five years I took out when my youngest was having major surgery followed by intensive rehabilitation. During those five years I completed a Masters in Med Science at UCD – a research project on outcomes following surgery in cerebral palsy.
What I’m loving most about retirement is that now for the first time in my whole life, I have the luxury of time.
I’m wife to Denis, mother to three boys, sister, and friend. I’m interested in books, food and nutrition, fitness and health, gardening, the outdoors, and travel.
Just read this , Lily ……. brilliant …… Never a dull moment ….. enjoy every moment …..
